The Avenue Theater hosts different, inventive groups in our
Wednesday Night Improv / Sketch Comedy series. The month
of July is a bit different. There are no Wednesday shows in July
other than Rodents of Unusual Size on July 15.

• No performance July 1st.  Mile Hi-Larity will next play the Avenue Theater on Friday, July 24, as part of our $15 Funny Fridays .Their next Wednesday show will be August 5.

• No performance on July 8. The RiP will next play at the Avenue Theater on Friday, July 10, as part of our $15 Funny Fridays . Then, they will play the 2nd Wednesday in August, on the 12th.
  
  is an improv/sketch comedy group based in Colorado Springs. at the Manitou Art Theatre. They have a following all across the front range which just makes a bunch of people lost. It’s a comical evening of  long-form and short-form improv, and sketch comedy. Visit on MySpace

• July 15 & 17, 2009 - A special fundraiser with:
  -The Rodents of Unusual Size  are a comedy troupe performing original sketches and game-style comedy improv based entirely on suggestions from you, the audience. The cheesiest show in town!
  
  This fundraiser is for:
  
  Unlike many charities that do many different things, The Smile Train is focused on
  solving a single problem: cleft lip and palate.
    Clefts are a major problem in developing countries where there are millions of children who are suffering with unrepaired clefts. Most cannot eat or speak properly. Aren’t allowed to attend school or hold a job. And face very difficult lives filled with shame and isolation, pain and heartache.
    The good news is every single child with a cleft can be helped with surgery that costs as little as $250 and takes as little as 45 minutes.
    This is our mission:
      -To provide free cleft surgery for millions of poor children in developing countries.
      -To provide free cleft-related training for doctors and medical professionals.
    Until there are no more children who need help and we have completely
  eradicated the problem of clefts.     More Info

will next play at the Avenue Theater on Friday, July 17, teaming up with the Rodents (above) for The Smile Train fundraiser.

Then, they will play the 4th Wednesday in August, on the 26th.
