From the minds behind “Los Comicos Super Hilariosos,” a monthly, alt-comedy free-for-all that the Onion A.V. Club once dubbed “comedy at its underground finest,” comes “The Grawlix,” an…um, like…new monthly, alt-comedy free-for-all taking place at the Avenue Theater the last Friday of every month! Hooray!


Pulling together the talents of Adam Cayton-Holland, Ben Roy, Andrew Orvedahl, and Greg Baumhauer - all Comedy Works regulars – as well as their numerous funny friends, “The Grawlix,” will feature a mixture of stand-up and sketch comedy, and serve as a platform for some of the best up-and-coming comics from across the country.


See the show that everyone will be talking about around the water cooler at work on Monday. And if they’re not talking about it, see the show that everyone should be talking about around the water cooler. And then go up to them and say, “Hey, what gives? Why aren’t you guys talking about ‘The Grawlix?’ It rules!” Then watch them all go, “What’s ‘The Grawlix?’ Some sort of mythological beast or something?” Then go, “God, you guys are so lame.” Then punch Janet from accounting right in the stomach.
